Questions & Answers

Frequently asked questions

Have questions regarding lead matching, delivery formats, or county capacity? Reach out directly to founder Sid at sid@oshaleads.com.

Where does the inspection data come from?

The U.S. Department of Labor publishes OSHA enforcement data, including newly opened inspections, as public records. We ingest these records every night, match each facility to verified contact info, and deliver only what falls within your purchased territory.

How fresh are these inspection alerts?

OSHA logs inspections in its IMIS/OIS system shortly after an officer initiates a visit. We dispatch every record the morning after it appears on federal databases and prominently display the date opened, so you always know lead freshness.

How does the two-firm territory cap work across counties and metros?

We enforce our distribution ceiling strictly at the county level. Whether you subscribe to a single County plan or a multi-county Metro package, every county included in your subscription is licensed to at most two subscribing consulting firms. Once two firms claim a county, it locks nationwide.

Why contact employers before citations are issued?

From the date an inspection opens, citations take up to six months to issue. Once citations arrive, the employer has exactly 15 working days from receipt to contest. Connecting with them early allows you to assist during the closing conference and prepare their compliance files before penalties hit.

Which states and territories do you cover?

We accept territory requests across all 50 states and prioritize immediate delivery across the 29 direct federal OSHA jurisdictions (including Texas, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and private employers in Illinois and New York). For State Plan states (such as California or Michigan), we verify local reporting latency and procedure rules before activating your subscription.

Do you also alert when citations and fines are officially issued?

Yes. In addition to dispatching leads the morning an inspection opens (Stage 1), our system tracks those establishments. When the Department of Labor formally publishes citations and proposed penalties weeks or months later (Stage 2), you receive an automated update alert with the specific standards cited, assessed penalties, and an informal conference defense script.

How does the 7-day free trial work?

You receive seven consecutive days of live morning inspection dispatches for your designated territory with zero upfront payment and no credit card required. On Day 1, we also send a complimentary historical county activity report so you can review recent local inspection trends. If you choose to continue after seven days, we activate your monthly territory subscription; otherwise, the trial simply concludes.

Are you affiliated with OSHA or the Department of Labor?

No. OSHA Leads is an independent daily lead alert feed for workplace safety consultants. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by OSHA or the U.S. Department of Labor.

“Every subscriber gets direct access to my inbox. If an inspection in your designated county ever misses your morning dispatch, tell me and I personally investigate it that day.”
